If you haven't already noticed, I don't exactly have the highest opinion of ARR. Although I do give it a hard time, it is nowhere near the worst game experience I've had, and it pales in comparison to the pre-shadowlands slog that was getting to 120 in WOW. Looking back, being able to make my way through this without just spam clicking through was one of the best decisions I've ever made. A lot of the early storytelling is mainly introducing characters, and lore dumps, and there is an extremely good reason for it. Despite my opinion of the way it was told, I did like the story of ARR, especially the post expansion quest lines. I also do have some sympathy for it, mainly because of how horrible 1.0 is made out to be and how much of an improvement I assume ARR was.
